The Psychos are a competitive women's college ultimate team at the University of California San Diego. Founded in 1995, we can be characterized by one word, "Psycho." Our team may seem a bit crazy, but really we're just a group of energetic and competitive athletes who are looking for a social life at our so-called, "UC Socially Dead" school. We love the game of ultimate and if we could, we would sleep, eat, and play ultimate all day, everyday. Our goal each year is to qualify for Nationals and although we are serious about playing, we're also serious about having an unforgettable college experience. At every tournament and practice, the Psychos play to win and to have fun while displaying ultimate frisbee's number one rule, the Spirit of the Game. Really, who else blasts Ke$ha's Tik Tok and Macklemore's And We Danced from Reboot (our portable stereo) at practice and starts dance parties in the parking lot at Trouble in Vegas? We are the group of girls who sing to Miley Cyrus, fist pump to Basshunter, and chant to anything and everything. We believe in safety first, then teamwork and that teamwork makes the dream work. We produce sick d's, gratuitous layouts, callahans, hammers, and greatests. We love our alumni and our fans. We have the worst on our team (we mean it, her nickname is The Worst) and the best (the self-proclaimed "Best Rookie Class Ever" from 09-10.) We are the UC San Diego Women's Ultimate team. Psycho is our name and ultimate is our game. More ultimate, less not ultimate. Psycho Nation |
